About the role
2020 has turned out to be another excellent year for Stantec with growth in the regions. We now have an opportunity in our Whangarei office where you will be contributing to the success of our recently won transportation projects by providing your technical expertise in leading and delivering transportation and roading projects across the Northland region.
Day to day tasks would include to:
Deliver technical expertise and provide technical leadership on projects in your specialist areas of transport and roading engineering.
Provide advice, solutions and project outcomes that create value for clients and provide Stantec with a differentiator in the market.
Work in conjunction with the team leader to provide great outcomes for Stantec and our clients.
Contribute to schemes and detailed designs that provide the right solutions for our clients.
Continue to develop commercial technical knowledge and skills desired by our clients.
Undertake technical delivery activities including site investigations, the development of concept and detailed designs, project feasibility estimates and technical reports.
Develop and assist with the growth of business opportunities and sales in the Northland region.
Develop, support and mentor staff.
Senior Project Technical Lead, Transportation - Whangarei
To be successful for this role you'll need:
BE Civil, or equivalent qualification.
Have or be working towards professional registration with Engineering New Zealand or an equivalent professional body.
Upwards of 10 years varied civil and transportation engineering experience including client facing responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of business and project financial principles.
Excellent investigation, analytical and report writing skills.
A proven ability to build trust and provide support to peers and clients.
Strong experience in leading teams to successfully complete projects.
