Stantec is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer & Project/Office Manager with 10-15 years of related experience to lead & grow our Wall Township, NJ practice and operations!
Our office serves Stantec’s Southern New Jersey client base and supports our state-wide and Tri-state initiatives in transportation, electrical, power, renewable energy, and wireless engineering.
Qualified candidate should be a licensed New Jersey P.E. and will be responsible for leading the operation of our Wall NJ office which will include oversight and guidance over various disciplines/technical areas, staffing, marketing and business development.
This position will be responsible for increasing Stantec’s presence in the Southern, NJ area by marketing company resources and focusing on increasing the visibility of the firm, securing work with clients & teaming partners, and ensuring quality products are delivered to our clients on time and under budget, The Office Manager will report to the New Jersey Business Center Managing Leader (BCML)
Your Key Responsibilities
Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager:
Provide leadership, oversight, technical mentoring and guidance to transportation staff within the Wall office.
Project management, including proposals and scope of work preparation, budgeting, invoicing, scheduling, etc.
Preparation and development of engineering design plans. Coordination of projects between disciplines.
QA/QC review of design plans, in compliance with design standards and guidelines.
Coordinate with clients and agencies regarding project data, needs and status, as necessary.
Prepare and negotiate scopes of work and cost estimates.
Maintain project financials, invoicing, cash collections, and maximizing profit on projects.
Assist and coordinate with other Office Managers and corporate Discipline Leaders as needed
Recruit multi-disciplined staff and team to meet project obligations and provide viable technical teams to market, win, and execute projects.
Manage administrative staff and operations of a multi-discipline office of 20 employees.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Familiarity and experience with NJDOT and NJ Turnpike Authority standards and procedures.
Familiarity and experience with local and county transportation agencies especially in Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
Project management experience, including 5 years of experience managing a staff of more than 10.
Experience with marketing, proposal preparation, fee preparations, negotiations, and contracts.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience. NJ PE License with 10 or more years of progressive highway design experience.
