Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Team Lead to join our growing team of dashboard & analytics development and support. This role will lead the team to roll out and support a new internal service to make available to data analysts and power users throughout Stantec. Working in collaboration with the Stantec BI Technical Development Team, this service will utilize Oracle Data Visualizer on Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) to provide access to data visualization and analytics for secured governed data.

Stantec offers a flexible work environment, and this role can be based out of any posted US or Canada location, in-office or remote.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the framework and service levels of the Enterprise Dashboard & Analytics Service

  • Establish and maintain development standards for dashboard and analytics on OAS

  • Establish, monitor and improve the service levels defined and approved by business process owners and IT

  • Provide Enterprise Dashboard & Analytics Service in a secure way that meets the security and performance requirements outlined by business process owners and IT

  • Establish required training and any internal certification required by users of the service

  • Lead a team of Dashboard developers and BI Analysts to provide the training and service to data analysts and power users throughout the Stantec organization

  • Follow and contribute to IT Process and Policy as it pertains to this service, Data Governance and ITIL adherence


Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Ability to work and collaborate with leaders and users from multiple domains: projects, Finance and HR

  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively with multiple IT and Business teams

  • Results-driven and able to handle multiple projects; strong time-management skills

  • Positive, energetic attitude, and initiative; Strong work ethic

  • Working as part of a friendly, team orientated professional group.

  • Working on specific timelines that can, at times, be demanding.

  • Constant and close visual (computer) work at desk.

  • During peak times there may be requirements to be on-call (on-call support).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, data management or related field

  • 10 years of related experience and experience leading teams

  • Extensive experience with statistical modeling techniques, strong quantitative skills and ability to delegate tasks

  • Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

  • Experience with Oracle Data Visualizer

  • Working knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4

  • The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to work with professionalism and confidentiality, and is able to work independently and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment

  • Business training and professional designations would be an asset like CPA or CHRP
