We’re looking for someone who can partner with our brand strategy and design teams to develop creative copy for advertising, brochures, eMarketing campaigns, content marketing efforts, and more.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your ability to write killer copy that excites and inspires readers and brings Stantec’s brand to life will make you shine. You’ll need to develop a solid understanding of Stantec’s business, brand promise, client needs, and key differentiators.
Some of the activities you’ll focus your energy on include, but are not limited to:
Writing copy using Stantec’s distinctive voice
Partnering with brand strategy and design colleagues to develop creative briefs
Developing creative, effective copy for web content
Partnering with sector marketing colleagues from across the world to write and/or edit copy, ensuring it’s written in Stantec’s voice and is clear, consistent, concise, and effective
Exploring new creative methods and approaches in client messaging
Presenting your ideas to colleagues and leadership
Conducting interviews with technical experts and Marketing and Communications colleagues to get the story
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to clearly explain the “why” not just the “what”
Experience writing in a fast-paced business environment
Strong interviewing and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision
Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills to help balance conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients
Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chrome
Education and Experience
Post-secondary degree in English, professional writing, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in professional writing, branding, advertising, or related field, ideally in an agency setting
