Stantec Senior Urban Planner, Project Manager in Tampa, Florida
Your Opportunity
As an Urban & Regional Planner within our Community Development business line, you will have the opportunity to work on Comprehensive, Vision & Strategic Plans, Master Planned Communities, Redevelopment, and Military Planning. Our highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team specializes in serving both public and private sector clients in the urban and suburban planning realm. We connect the people, places, and resources that take a project from concept to reality.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepares Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning applications
Strategic positioning of Master Planned Communities & Residential Developments - including design and entitlement approvals.
Maintain and strengthen client relationships and plays a key role in client management and satisfaction.
Coordinates and supervises the technical aspects of projects.
May work closely with civil engineers and developers on developing plans for projects.
Coordinate with clients, agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Highly effective in assembling and leading teams on complex projects.
Demonstrates ability to readily identify potential problems on a project.
Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects.
Highly effective in building and maintaining client relationships.
Highly effective in supervising junior staff
Strong writing and public presentation skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture or related field.
Prefer a Master’s Degree and AICP certification.
Minimum of 15 years of experience.
