About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Fire Engineer to join our growing Sydney Fire Engineering team, this position is suitable for someone looking to grow with a professional and supportive team.

We are looking for a dynamic professional who is looking to join a collaborative team working on iconic projects. We operate across all building types, including health, education, Defence, commercial, retail and residential buildings.

The role will enable you to thrive in a successful global firm during this exciting chapter of growth.

Day to day tasks would involve:

•\tSupport Project Engineers in completing projects in terms of programme, design execution, technical risk management and overall client satisfaction

•\tWork closely and develop a trusted relationships with other project stakeholders, notably architects, contractors, builders and end users to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions with a high-quality outcome

•\tPrepare drawings and calculations in support of design concepts.

•\tExecute project design, documentation, and contract administration

•\tLiaise with local authorities, clients and consultant team

•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills

•\tAbility to liaise with client team, local authorities, and contractors

•\tReport writing

•\tAttend project meetings

•\tAdhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures

What we are ideally looking for:

•\tPrevious experience in Consulting within the Building services industry

•\tKnowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards

•\tBachelor of Engineering – Structural or Fire or Mechanical, or Bachelor of Science in Physics

•\tAbility to undertake scientific calculations related to fires, smoke movement and occupant evacuation

•\tAbility to independently undertake project and technical analysis

•\tExperience in CFD fire modelling and evacuation modelling preferable

•\tExperience in the development of Performance Solutions

•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills

•\tStrong problem-solving skills

•\tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

•\tPositive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
