About the role:

Our established Sydney Civil team is looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer with knowledge within the Urban Development & Land Development sector to join us on a permanent basis. This role will see you leading the delivery of projects within urban development, land development, building services and transport sectors. This role will be client-facing, and include the management of a team of drafters, designers and engineers. The role will also entail business development with the intent to develop client relationships and grow the team

Successful applicants will have a strong technical design background and management and project delivery skills.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• Leading a team of drafters, designers and engineers including resourcing, quality assurance and technical leadership

• Managing project resourcing requirements and delegating to your team members

• Business development including marketing and building client relationships

• Communicating and coordinating with clients, stakeholders and project teams

• Attending and participating in project meetings

• Managing client service expectations and commitments for your projects

• Compiling and coordinating fee proposals

• Financial and Technical Project QA

To be successful for this role you'll need:

• 7+ years experience in buildings, urban development, transport and land development would be preferable

• CPEng/NER Civil Engineer preferable

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)

• Well-established in the Sydney market with existing client relationships

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

• Ability to use initiative and think outside the box

• Positive, can-do attitude
