Your Opportunity

This Receptionist / Administrative Assistant position provides timely, accurate, and professional clerical support in keeping with Stantec's high standards. This individual will work in the Seattle office, Monday - Friday each week from 8:00 am – 5:00pm.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and provides a professional, welcoming image of Stantec

  • Handles multi-line telephone system

  • Oversees incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries

  • Schedules meetings and monitors conference room calendars

  • Orchestrates stationary and business card purchases

  • Ensures organization of the reception, lobby, and back office areas

  • Provides administrative support to multiple stakeholders

  • Handles special projects in support of firm and departmental objectives

Capabilities and Credentials

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain a professional, polished appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to operate telephone system and standard office equipment

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of business communication standards for email, correspondence, and telephone etiquette

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse array of assignments and duties

  • Ability to deftly manipulate data within spreadsheets and database systems

Education and Experience

  • Certification or Associates' degree from technical school or college in related field and experience in a professional office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2 plus years of experience

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain a professional, polished appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to operate telephone system and standard office equipment

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of business communication standards for email, correspondence, and telephone etiquette

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse array of assignments and duties

  • Ability to deftly manipulate data within spreadsheets and database systems

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint is a plus
