We provide our clients a full range of surveying and mapping services. Through our work, we define land boundaries and analyze spatial data. You will work on projects of high complexity, and as a leader of a team or project. You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and/or supervise a field crew to perform field boundary, topographic, land surveys and construction staking.
Your Key Responsibilities
Researches survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed and coordinates findings with the work of engineers, clients and others involved in projects.
Reviews the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Performs thorough quality control (QA/QC) of drawings/documents.
Manages and conducts surveys for clients.
Manages survey field crew, assigns work, ensures completion dates and budgets are met, and ensures consistent application of firm operating standards and safety practices.
Transfers survey data to the proper files in the computer network and acquires data for field use.
Drives company or personal vehicle to reach jobsites.
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Identifies hazardous situations and applies safety procedures and company standards.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Comprehensive understanding of project requirements, including budget, design requirements, and complete project submittal.
Highly effective in assembling and leading teams.
Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
Proficient in performing boundary, topographic, and land title surveys and construction staking.
Proficient using GPS, data collectors, total stations, robotics, and relevant survey equipment.
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Survey Technician.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
