Your Opportunity

As a Senior Mining Engineer,

your role is to develop mine models, mine development plans, and

select equipment for engineering studies. Potential

assignments include supporting surface or underground mine development

activities through equipment selection, haulage and mine simulations, and timing sequences. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide variety of

multi-disciplinary projects related to the energy and mining industries from

due diligence and feasibility studies to operational on-site assistance.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Developingmine plans and mining schedules for surface mines and underground minesincluding production schedules, haulage simulations, pit designs, ramp designs,underground mine layouts, and undergroundmine development timing sequences.

  • Preparemining cost estimates for both surface mines and underground mines.

  • Developfinancial models for investment decisions supporting client projects.

  • Writetechnical reports and provide internal peer review.

  • Presentmine planning results to clients Pursue strategic clients and buildrelationships.

  • Developproposals.

  • Provideconsulting expertise to Stantec’s global clients.

  • Maintainand foster client relationships.

  • Providesenior-level oversight and peer review of concepts, designs, models, and reports.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • StrongEnglish verbal and technical writing skills, including experience in writingproposals and technical reports.

  • Strongorganizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to travel domesticallyand internationally to support projects, marketing activities, and clientneeds.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mining Engineering.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ working in the mining industry,with experience in technical and/or management roles.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) or theability to obtain one.

  • Advanced experiencedeveloping and leading technical teams

Location of Employment

This

position will be based in one of our United States offices with a preference to Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, or

Charleston, WV.

Typical office environment working

with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may

include exposure to the elements including inclement weather or typical mining

conditions.
