The Sacramento, Calif., C Street office of Stantec is seeking a mid-level Engineer / Project Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team of water professionals, each committed to delivering sound and strategic consulting services to a range of local, regional, state and federal clients. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management

  • Assume primary responsibility for managing engineering services for planning and design of water resources projects and municipal infrastructure.

  • Meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals.

  • Have strong organizational skills

  • Deliver excellent client service.

  • Technical Oversight

  • Work with project staff and subject-matter experts to develop innovative solutions for clients.

  • Participate on technical review committees and support technical delivery for Stantec projects locally and in other offices.

  • Business Development/Client Service Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.

  • Work with client service teams to win work with new and existing clients.

  • Participate in local and national technical associations (e.g. Water Environment Federation [WEF], American Water Resources Association [AWRA], etc.).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • 3 years of project management experience in water/wastewater/water resources engineering, natural resources planning, or related field, having project budgets ranging from $50K to $3M (or more).

  • 8 years of experience in one or more of the following:

  • Water and or natural resources planning and management.

  • Planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater infrastructure.

  • Water/wastewater treatment processes.

  • Advanced and emerging technologies.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, or ability to obtain one within 1 year of employment.

  • Valid California P.E. license (or other professional certification), or ability to obtain one within 1 year of employment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or related field; MS preferred.

Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
