Your Opportunity

Your role will be to manage one or more construction projects to assure the contractor’s compliance with the plans and contract documents, manage and supervise project personnel, inspection activities, materials quality control and quality assurance testing, project documentation, project budget and schedule, and contract administration responsibilities under the direction of the Responsible Charge Engineer. Provide or supplement field coverage as needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the implementation of safety controls and promotes a safe workplace

  • Analyzes and interprets project plans, contract language, and specifications to ensure project constructability

  • Reviews plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications (QA/QC).

  • Recommends resolution of field construction problems and design changes

  • Prepares professional correspondence and documentation

  • Prepares/reviews change orders

  • repares/reviews independent construction estimates

  • Communicates with and makes recommendations to Responsible Charge Engineer, design professionals, client, owner, developer, or contractor, but does not direct the means or methods of construction.

  • Prepares final documentation for closeout process.

  • Prepares documents and maintains file management of project-related information including, but not limited to, correspondence, reports, videos and pictures.

  • Trains and/or mentors less experienced staff.

  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Thorough knowledge of construction principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards and safety precautions.

  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with contractor, project team and clients, including ability to resolve conflict situations.

  • Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the project team, obtaining and sharing necessary information.

  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignment and schedule.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation.

  • Working knowledge of critical path method scheduling.

  • Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license.

  • Prior to employment, this position will require the successful passing of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Use of survey, nuclear density, materials, and other field-testing equipment

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and construction experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the management of construction projects. Position will work in office and field setting. Visits construction sites and works in outside weather conditions.
