Your Duties

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Environmental Project Manager (Site Investigation & Remediation) to join our dynamic Environmental Services team in Regina, Saskatchewan . This is a great opportunity for an environmental professional who has project management experience working within the site investigation and remediation sectors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop proposals, work plans, budgets, and project schedules

  • Manage the following types of projects:

  • Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments

  • Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations

  • Soil, groundwater and soil vapour monitoring programs

  • Remediation programs

  • Emergency spill response programs

  • Manage schedules, scope changes, budgets, project files, contracts, health and safety, sub-consultants, etc. on projects you are responsible for

  • Develop technical reports

  • Pursue and lead project efforts within the Site Investigation & Remediation team

  • Focus on local and regional clients, as well as global and national clients (where relevant)

  • Participate in (when required) marketing and business development activities and initiatives

  • Identify areas for improvement in technical delivery and work with local leadership to improve the technical competencies of the team

  • Collaborate with other scientific and engineering professionals within the Stantec community

  • Provide guidance and review on project deliverables

  • Assist with staff mentorship and training

  • Actively participate in promoting a strong quality assurance/quality control and health and safety culture in the team

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or Engineering

  • Eligibility for professional registration with Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists (APEGS), Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA) or equivalent professional association

  • 7 to 10 years’ minimum, 10+ years preferred, of related experience, delivering outstanding technical Site Investigation and Remediation solutions on projects

  • Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Saskatchewan Environmental Code and the Saskatchewan Environmental Quality Guidelines are an asset

  • Demonstrated experience with the items listed in the “Responsibilities include” section.

  • Strong client management and communication skills are essential
