Stantec is seeking a Lead Bridge Engineer to be a part of the growing team in our Pune office. The Transportation Group is growing, and this is an opportunity for a self-driven and motivated leader to help start a bridge design practice in our Pune office. The ideal candidate must be a highly engaged professional with exceptional communication and technical skills. The candidate must possess the ability to effectively work across multiple operational groups and technical disciplines. Driven to provide best in class innovative bridge design solutions to clients across both public and private sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the Bridge Lead to deliver bridge projects for Stantec,

  2. Contribute to Stantec’s business goals by providing technical expertise and leadership on Bridge design projects,

  3. Train and supervise Bridge Designers to prepare 3D models and plans,

  4. Build strong relationships within the Stantec Bridge Engineering community

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Familiar with AASHTO LRFD bridge design specification.

  2. Experience in designing prestressed concrete and steel bridges.

  3. familiar with LEAP Bridge, MIDAS. AutoCAD/Micro Station.

  4. Experience in designing earth retaining structures

  5. Efficient management of multiple concurrent projects/tasks

  6. Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule

  7. Understands client expectations and budgeting,

  8. Technical proficiency in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various design methods

  9. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite

  10. Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills.

  11. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialist and Discipline leads across the globe

  12. Expert level of client service management, i.e.: ability to interface with and build lasting, positive relationships with our Clients

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  1. A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field

  2. 5 – 10 years of experience of which at least 6-8 years should include international work experience. North American and/or UK experience preferred

  3. Proficient use of relevant software packages such as MicroStation V8i, OpenBridge, CSiBridge, STAAD, SAP, STAAD, Leap Bridge, AASHTOWare, MDX, InspectTech, MathCAD,

  4. Sound knowledge of all technical standards such as AASHTO bridge specifications, DMRB, (UK), and other similar standards
