As a Project Manager for the Willamette Water Supply Program , you will be responsible for delivery of assigned projects on schedule and within budget and in accordance with program performance specifications and program management plan requirements. Work environment is fast paced and dynamic. Applicant needs strong written and spoken communication skills. The primary responsibilities for this role will include:
Lead delivery of assigned project(s) from inception planning through construction close-out, including organizing and facilitating the interdisciplinary project team which includes safety, permitting, land use, and public outreach.
Preliminary analyses to support design decisions.
Identify and manage needs of diverse stakeholders (e.g., local governments, developers, property owners).
Monitor and control project delivery performance to verify project is designed and built in alignment with WWSP objectives.
Investigate risks, disputes, concerns, issues, and problems and proactively implement corrective measures in coordination with the Design Manager and Engineering and Construction Manager.
Provide weekly and monthly project status reporting, review weekly reports, conduct project meetings, and update project-level risks and mitigation measures monthly.
Support construction management and inspection staff with administrating construction contracts and resolving design issues during construction.
Attend meetings with construction contractors as appropriate.
Assist with resolving construction related issues and construction-related document reviews.
Participate in final inspection and issuance of certification of completion.
Support quality review processes.
Prepare reports and/or presentation for management.
Support design guideline/specifications updates.
Work as part of an integrated consultant-client team.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
BS Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar
Minimum 7 years of project management experience in pipelines, reservoirs, water, wastewater, or water resources
Licensed professional engineer in the State of Oregon or ability to acquire in 6 months
Committed and experienced team player
Experience with major water infrastructure projects, preferably large-diameter pipelines
10-15 years of experience
Masters of Science in an Engineering field
