About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sustainability Consultant/Engineer to join our growing Perth office on a fixed term contract with the view of extension. This role is suited to a proactive professional with vast project experience within the building services industry. We are involved in a variety of project types including but not limited to retail, office, residential, high-rise, health care and infrastructure.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects at different stages of completion.

The role will enable the successful applicant to develop in a professional and personal sense and forge a rewarding career path within a successful firm working on iconic projects.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• Support Project Engineers in the completion of projects

• Manage Clients service expectations and commitments as required

• Provide support and mentoring to more junior staff members

• Report and specification writing

• Oversee the documentation process and review drawings for technical accuracy

• Ability to deliver projects with minimal supervision

• Clearly communicate sustainability recommendations and options to clients and project teams

• Liaise with authorities, clients and contractors

• Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

• Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering (Open to considering other backgrounds)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience and Understanding of Australian Standards

• Experience in NCC and other regulatory codes

• Green Star, NatHERS, WELL Accreditation

• Experience with IES VE, EnergyPlus software is desirable but not essential

• Previous experience working in an Engineering consultancy environment

• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

• The ability to use initiative and think outside the box

• Positive, can-do attitude.
