Stantec’s landscape architecture practice continues to grow in Kansas City and throughout North America. We are currently looking for a highly motivated landscape architect who is passionate about design and has expertise in master planning, and landscape architecture with interest in developing new skills with a multidisciplinary team. Top candidates will have excellent graphic communications skills, project technical experience, be highly organized, and work collaboratively and independently on projects through all phases.
You will have the opportunity to plan and design public and private projects across a range of scales and uses, including civic spaces, streetscapes, outdoor recreation venues, parks, residential, commercial, and institutional developments, and more. You will build new relationships with some of our more than 250 landscape architects firm wide, be mentored under experienced landscape architects, and work in a casual environment with cliences and teams through all phases of design.
Your Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project partners, and clients to enhance our group’s production on all things related to landscape architecture
Develop preliminary designs, support plan production, and develop design renderings, utilizing a range of tools from AutoCAD to Photoshop to Lumion
Effectively communicate with Project Managers and team collaborators to meet project desdlines
Your Capabilities and Credentials
We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of prior landscape architecture experience (including internship experience) working within a professional design firm. The successful candidate will have experience working in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, digital modeling software, ArcGIS and other related programs, as projects require. Familiarity with Enscape, Rhino, or Revit is a bonus. Excellent hand graphics are preferred but not required.
Education and Experience
Successful candidates must have an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program.
Excellent communication skills-written and verbal
Good multi-discipline team member (planning, urban design, landscape architecture, engineering, and architecture)
