Your Opportunity

An opportunity exists with Stantec for a Senior PD&E Project Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated person who will work closely with Stantec’s leadership on the planning and development of transportation infrastructure including major arterials and complex limited access highways and transit agencies throughout Florida and support projects within the US South region including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

The position's qualifications includes the ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing); strong presentation skills including support of public involvement and outreach programs; strong project/program management expertise; strong understanding of corridor level and project development under both state and federal environmental laws and programs, with expertise in concept development combining geometric design with transportation system management and operations strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing technical discipline teams and performing as a project manager or task leader on transportation planning and PD&E projects.

  • Client development, coordinating the project pursuits and proposal preparation.

  • Monitoring the quality of technical services delivered by the technical team members assigned to projects and studies.

  • Performing as a senior technical lead in the development of concepts, reports, and studies.

  • Occasional inter and intrastate travel to support projects and pursuits.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Managing all aspects of roadway infrastructure development including transportation planning and traffic engineering, corridor studies, and Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies.

  • Experience in successful project pursuits including identifying opportunities, client engagement, developing teaming strategies and developing proposals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments

  • Strong client interaction and relationship skills.

  • Team player and positive attitude.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 20 years’ highway/roadway transportation planning and/or design experience

Bachelor of Science (BS) minimum, Masters preferred

PE AICP certification preferred

Typical office environment working with computers. Some travel may be required.
