Your Role

Are you a natural

environment and managing multiple initiatives at once? Stantec is looking for a

Promotional Specialist for our Canada Central & Atlantic Geography. This

position requires someone who has a creative side and likes to connect with

others — a team player who knows how to showcase a brand so that it stands out

among the competition.

Reporting

directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Promotional Specialist is

responsible for marketing plan implementation and coordination of implementation

and coordination of geographic promotional initiatives. The Promotion Specialist works

closely with the regional marketing team and leadership to implement our annual

strategic programs with the goal of promoting Stantec’s brand awareness.

Primary markets include Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

In

collaboration with regional marketing team the role responsibilities include:

  • Contentgeneration (client facing marketing materials, awards programs, blogs, etc)

  • Building adigital profile

  • Collaborationwith PR & Market Research Team

  • Communityengagement/sponsorship synergies

  • Supportingmajor tradeshows & conferences, advertising, eventsA keydeliverable is to ensure objectives are met while elevating and showcasing theStantec brand as effectively as possible. The position ensures all messagingand graphics are developed in alignment with Company standards, specificallyStantec's brand guidelines.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage

multiple concurrent initiatives, and enjoys working with different personality

styles and management levels, both in person and across geographies.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Combining an outgoing

personality with strong marketing sensibilities, you’ll look for creative ways

to help us achieve our company-wide and regional goals for growth and market

leadership in selected events and activities.

There’ll be many

opportunities for you to put your proven experience to work within our

marketing team. Promoting Stantec s vital to building brand and connecting our

team with existing and future clients. You’ll serve as the key contact for

strategic promotional activities for the region and provide planning,

development and coordination of a range of activities while working with

internal providers including graphic designers. You’ll help maintain Stantec’s

internal systems for information management related to promotional activity.

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a relatedarea.

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Officeapplications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software such asInDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Distiller.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors,peers, vendors, and clients.

  • Ability to work well with a variety of personality types.

  • Ability to collaborate with various teams and to work independently.

  • Detail oriented andorganized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
