Your [ Opportunity

The role of the Health and Safety Specialist is to lead the safety efforts of all drilling activity and other field work.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Travels to assigned facilities to lead/monitor safety efforts of drilling personnel and other field staff.

  • Support and lead accident investigations and is responsible for development of accident root/apparent cause analysis.

  • Responsible for development and presentation of required safety training.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of health and safety.

  • Ability to participate and collaborate in team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.

Education and Experience

  • Ability to travel to assigned facilities as needed to monitor/direct/guide safety efforts of all drilling and other field staff.Minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety programs on large construction projects, comparable to the contract in scope and complexity.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in all Federal and State regulations applicable to construction safety.

  • Possess "Competent Person" certification in construction safety disciplines.

  • Successful completion of OSHA 510 & 500 Safety & Health Course or certification of professional safety certification or a safety and health degree.

  • Current certification for CPR/First Aid/AED
