Primary Purpose of Position:

The primary purpose of the role is to act as project technical lead in the development and delivery of Transportation projects across Australia/New Zealand, creating an ongoing, sustainable business bringing innovation and offering the highest quality technical services to clients. Bring work into the business through an excellent project track record.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent project performance

• Undertake the role of principal designer, applying technical expertise in road design, using a range of platforms including 12D, AECOsim, Revit, Microstation, AutoCAD and 3D Modelling, also complete project cost estimation and reporting

• Carry out the role of task manager on assigned projects to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards

• Manage and deliver detailed design civil infrastructure work packages relating to transportation infrastructure including water, waste water & water treatment

• Successful delivery of projects of the highest technical standard

• Ensure efficient transfer of design into drawings through application of 12D, 3D Modelling, design detailing, supplier information, industry standards and Stantec CAD standards

• Lead and/or support the identification of new markets and opportunities to expand the Stantec technical offering particularly within the Transportation Infrastructure area

• Carry out quality design checks and reviews of others work as required

• Maintain and grow the skill base of staff

• Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required

• Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required

• Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures

• Minimise and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programmes and ensuring proactive use of our project management systems

• Other duties as reasonably required.
