About the role:
Our established and growing Melbourne Civil team is looking for a Civil CAD Technician with 2+ years’ experience in the Civil sector working across Health, Education, Sport & Leisure, Residential, Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Defence.
This would include the preparation of Civil Engineering documentation, and delivery from master planning through to detailed design and construction.
Successful applicants will possess a sound understanding of civil engineering design principles and experience in preparing technical drawing packages that typically include bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network designs.
Successful candidates will be developed in a professional and personal sense and provided with an opportunity to forge a challenging and rewarding career path in a successful consultancy working on the states most iconic development projects.
Day to day tasks would involve:
•\tPreparation of technical drawing packages
•\tContribute to the development of the section, including the mentoring and training of junior CAD Technicians
•\tOccasionally participate in meetings with clients and other consultants
•\tAssist other members of the project team
•\tBe accurate, diligent, and professional
•\tAdhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures

Civil CAD Technician - Melbourne
To be successful for this role you'll need:
•\tA minimum of 2yrs experience preparing technical drawing packages in the Civil Buildings sector.
•\tExtensive experience in the documentation platform AutoCAD is essential
•\tExperience in the design platform Civil 3D is advantageous but not essential
•\tGood communication and interpersonal skills are essential
•\tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
•\tAttention to detail
•\tAbility to use initiative and think outside the box
•\tPositive, can-do attitude
•\tKnowledge sharing and cooperative team playing attitude
