Stantec Early Career Learning & Development Consultant in Manchester, United Kingdom
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Consultant with a focus on Early Careers to join our team. Our adoption of hybrid working allows this role to be based in any of our UK offices where your working week combines both remote and face-to-face working. The role will see you lead on maximising the effectiveness of how we develop, support and manage our developing and emerging professionals, especially our significant Apprentice and Graduate population.

Your main task will be to will drive, shape and continually improve our Apprenticeship programme and Graduate professional development programme. You will track current and future trends in early talent development through research and analysis, sharing with colleagues as appropriate and bringing innovation into the above programmes.
You will welcome Developing Professionals (DPs) into the business to ensure they have the resources and support they need from day one while working with managers, mentors and other stakeholders to ensure they are motivated in their pursuit of progressive competence development.
You will facilitate the development of appropriate pathways through Stantec that allows DPs to move around the company, both within and across the sectors they start in.
A key part of your role will include managing the:
Rolling programme of core training for the Apprentice and Graduate programmes
Apprentice and Graduate forums, inspiring and challenging the groups to own their development
‘Outreach / STEAM process’ that aligns with Stantec’s purpose and promise
You will have a background in professional development, training and learning in a corporate environment. You will have detailed knowledge of the apprenticeship levy and how to maximise its use
You will have experience in the delivery of internal training & workshops, excellent IT and digital skills and the initiative to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
Building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders will be important but most critical to your success will be your passion and drive for developing early careers.
