Stantec has openings within our Stream Restoration Design team in several locations throughout North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, and Kentucky. We are looking for Engineers, Geomorphologists, and Environmental Scientist to become part of our award-winning team and work on cutting edge projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Watershed master planning.
Development of mitigation plans and mitigation credit calculations.
Perform credit analysis of BMPs for TMDLs.
Development of stream restoration design plans.
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Post construction monitoring.
Conduct peer and quality reviews.
Other duties or responsibilities as needed.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Must have a high attention to detail.
Skill in a variety of software applications.
Skill in preparation of technical specifications and bid documents.
Skill in technical writing and verbal communication.
Ability to travel.
Ability to walk 2-4 miles per day in rough terrain.
Ability to work in a highly automated design office environment.
Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner, both in writing and in person, with clients, employees and visitors.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Rosgen training and familiarity with the RIVERMorph software a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil, Agricultural, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering; Geology with emphasis in Fluvial Geomorphology; Environmental Science or other closely related degree. Masters preferred.
For Engineers, ability to obtain Professional Licensure (P.E.) required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role required.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
