Stantec is seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineering Technician to assist with all aspects of operations associated with our Geotechnical group located in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
Testing of soils, concrete, asphalt and construction monitoring.
Construction Quality Assurance of installed geosynthetic materials.
Monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation.
Interact routinely with Client Representatives, Contractors, and Geotechnical Engineers.
Operate computerized and digital testing equipment.
Field data collection and reviews of construction.
This position will require primarily field work and does require the ability to travel regionally with overnight stays.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience with laboratory and field construction activities is a plus.
Interested candidates should have (or have the ability to obtain) certifications related to the position (ACI, nuclear density gauges, NICET, geosynthetics, etc.).
A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
A pre-employment drug screen may also be required.
Proficient with desktop office software applications (word processor, spreadsheets, etc.).
Working knowledge of codes and design requirements is a plus.

Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
Working understanding of policies and procedures for Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) protection, including client-specific training (as required).
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor of Science in related field is a plus.
Minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
