You will have the opportunity to work on local, regional, national and potentially international projects whilst being given the required support and mentoring to develop your own capabilities whilst working closely with the Southern Region Leadership to identify new opportunities and grow the business.
Key aspects of the role include:
•\tIdentify and understand market trends, pursue opportunities and win revenue generating work from clients across all sectors in the Southland and Otago regions.
•\tGrow backlog in accordance with the Invercargill Growth Strategy to achieve agreed revenue, profit and utilisation targets.
•\tDevelop and implement annual team business objectives to align with Stantec’s New Zealand and regional business plans.
•\tProvide technical and/or project management leadership of projects in your field of expertise.
•\tLead, support and motivate the Invercargill team in excellent client service gaining “Trusted Advisor” status to Stantec clients.
•\tPromote an open, challenging and stimulating work environment that attracts and retains high calibre staff
•\tContribute to the growth of Stantec’s business as a senior member of the Southern Region leadership/operational team. Demonstrate and lead company direction, culture and values. Invest in your own professional and technical development.

Skills & Specifications:
•\tQualifications & Experience
o\tBachelor Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
o\t10 years’ relevant experience
o\tChartered Professional Engineer (or equivalent).
o\tHigh level of technical skills and experience in related area of specialist capability.
o\tProven skills and experience in developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
o\tProven capabilities in generating positive commercial outcomes in the consulting industry.
o\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
o\tWillingness and ability to be a part of a unified and effective team.
o\tWillingness and ability to travel within New Zealand and overseas and be away from home for short periods.
o\tWillingness and ability to work extended hours from time to time, if needed to meet job demands.
