Your Opportunity

We provide our clients a full range of surveying and mapping services. Through our work, we define land boundaries and analyze spatial data.

You will work with general supervision and direction on a variety of average sized projects, and as a team member for larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Produce complete and accurate CAD drawings on assigned projects including boundary, topographic, land title surveys, plats, construction staking wiith layouts, and tree surveys

  • Assist in reviews and process the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features, as well as digital terrain models

  • Load vehicles with tools and equipment in the process of executing occasional field assignments, ensuring materials are loaded correctly

  • May be required to drive company or personal vehicle to reach jobsites

  • Research survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed and coordinates findings with the work of engineers, clients and others involved in projects

  • Responsible for safe and appropriate operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and all equipment as necessary

  • Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites

  • Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys

  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

  • Help prepare logistical planning/scheduling for surveying projects as needed for both in town and out of town projects

  • Travel as needed to assist execution of on site surveying operations for both in town and out of town surveying projects

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Well developed knowledge of local survey laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.

  • Well-developed understanding of field survey methods and calculations.

  • Well developed knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.

  • Demonstrates cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.

  • Demonstrates leadership through training, coordinating, and leading others in accomplishing work activities.

  • Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.

  • Proficient in relevant software programs including AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, and related software thorough understanding of CAD Standards.

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience.

Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
