Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently searching for a Project Controls Manager with over 10 years of relevant work experience to assist in our growing practice. The Project Controls Manager will be based out of our Houston, TX location.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an integrated performance measurement scope, time and cost baseline

  • Ensure processes are in place to analyze whether the project is ahead or behind the planned schedule.

  • Continuously measure ongoing efficiency and performance in terms of project scope, time and cost.

  • Interrogate data to identify problems, corrective actions and re-scheduling if required.

  • Ensure that variance and trend analyses is documented and communicated through an appropriate change control process.

  • Display understanding of the role of performance measurement to produce a record of past performance, identify trends and forecast future performance in a manner that informs and drives management intervention.

  • Define the data to be captured and oversee how all the data will be collected into a single source of truth repository for Dashboard reporting

  • Support the project team in understanding performance measurement process and information. Design appropriate reporting formats for each of the performance measures.

  • Ensure that project reporting is in place that regularly communicates all current issues, future risks, potential opportunities and progress of projects to the client and the relevant stakeholders.

  • Support the change control process, establishing the necessary forms, logs and expediting methods. Produce reports to identify status within the change control process. Facilitate the ITRP Change Control Board meetings

  • Provide successful delivery of projects to clients including outstanding service, in budget and schedule performance

  • Monitoring of cost performance, schedule variance, and reporting to executive level

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Expert experience in using Ares Prism G2 is highly desired and must be demonstrated

  • Expert use of MS Excel is a requirement and must be demonstrated

  • Advanced use and experience of cost database products is a key benefit (MS Access, etc)

  • Advanced use and experience in Primavera P6 is desired, but not mandatory

  • Advanced use in Project Dashboard software to be demonstrated

  • Ability to use Office Suite, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Education and Experience

Degree in engineering, architectural, business or equivalent

Exposure to project management, planning, design and contract administration

Minimum of 10 years in construction, project management, or combination experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Ability to motivate and inspire staff

Ability to work and lead on multiple assignments
