Stantec Architectural Intern - Summer Student in Houston, Texas
We're active members of the communities we serve. That's why at Stantec we always design with community in mind.
Through our Architecture and Interior Design work, we challenge design ideas of the past to create spaces that foster a culture of collaboration—spaces that are designed for community.
We believe good design extends beyond the physical elements of a space—good design shapes our lives, influences our behaviors and interactions, and has purpose. We strive to design spaces that are meaningful and memorable for our communities. Join our team of creative professionals and work with us to create inspiring spaces for all.
You’ll be engaged in a three month collaboration with designers and planners from across the firm to reimagine the future of architecture for community. New social, economic and environmental models will be combined with advanced building façade, landscape, transportation, technology, structure, and energy systems in design concepts that inspire new thinking on the contribution of architecture to the fabric of our communities and city planning.
The program is designed to allow students to explore the frontiers of design, hone their skills, and gain invaluable insight into the future of design with some of the nation’s best. It is open to students who have completed their junior year and possess the creativity, curiosity, motivation, and skills necessary to create conceptual models and advance design ideas with a team. The program will be offered in our Plano, Houston and Austin offices, begins May 2018 and runs through August 2018.
This experience should give the intern insight into Stantec and help further our research and design goals, as well as providing an opportunity to experience a variety of forward thinking tasks our architects perform. The position will report to the Office Leader of the local office location.
