Stantec Principal Structural Engineer in High Wycombe, United Kingdom

Redefine your personal best.

Stantec are going through an exciting time with significant growth in our water and energy sectors. As such, we’re seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our structures team.

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you’ll be leading the delivery of responsive, efficient, and high-quality structural input to support this growth. In addition, you’ll be partnering with our clients across the UK water and energy sectors and will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects.

You will report directly to the Specialist Technical Lead, developing our structural knowledge and capability, and supporting internal opportunities in sectors beyond water and energy.

Ideally, you’ll be a Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer, with a least five years post-Chartered experience. You can be based out of any of our UK offices, with hybrid working between office and home anticipated.

Specific requirements of this role include the ability to carry out and lead structural design for concrete, steel and masonry structures, and to carry our structural inspections and produce concise reports that define requirements for asset maintenance and modification to meet client and regulatory standards.

In addition to your structural design experience, you’ll have a good knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering, and an awareness of mechanical and electrical engineering, sufficient to enable collaborative working with these other disciplines. You’ll also have a good knowledge of construction, both temporary and permanent, and of the information requirements of construction teams as part of our design-build offering in water and energy.

If you’re someone who has a broad range of structural and civil engineering experience, a team leader who can coach and mentor professionals and lead the development of our technical capability, then look no further and apply on the link provided.
