The opportunity

Do you want the opportunity to work on local, national and international projects? In this role you will be given the required support and mentoring to develop your own capabilities and work closely with the Design Delivery Team Leader in Hamilton and the Northern Region Group Manager to identify new opportunities and grow the business in the Hamilton/Waikato area. In addition to providing technical expertise and leadership for both urban and rural transportation engineering and planning projects, mostly in the private sector, you will manage, lead and grow the team.

Key aspects of the role include:-

•\tAssist the Auckland Transportation Leader in the role of client service manager, focusing on private sector clients.

•\tEnsure that the Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Team are optimally utilised.

•\tEnsure the Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Team operates efficiently and meets (or exceeds) its financial performance targets.

•\tLiaise continually with our clients to ensure that their expectations are met.

•\tClearly understand the strategic objectives of new and existing clients in order to undertake effective business development.

•\tProvide team with technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring.

•\tWork with the Design Delivery Team Leader (Hamilton) to build strong peer relationships and actively work to integrate the technical teams in the Hamilton office of Stantec.

About you

You will have at least 8+ years relevant experience in the transportation field, particularly in transport planning and traffic engineering, as well as proven revenue generation, strong client relationships and willing to be a part of an effective and unified team. There will be requirement to work extra hours and travel away from home from time to time.
