Principal Civil Engineer (Water)

Glasgow, GBR

Stantec is working in partnership with Scottish Water, Northumbrian Water and wider stakeholders to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions to their needs by applying genuinely new ways of working. We are looking for individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of likeminded engineers working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide efficiency and net zero challenges.

With significant plans in place to grow our established civils team across the UK, there will be opportunities to take on new responsibilities and challenges, whilst becoming a key member of our diverse, multi-disciplined team with the opportunity to work on projects locally and across the country.

Currently we are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects as part of a major capital investment programme. Day to day you will have responsibility for the technical delivery of the project team, developing and drawing on the wider technical network to maximise innovation. You will provide technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and Stantec expectation, whilst also taking responsibility for the management & mentoring of engineers within the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a global engineering firm that are expanding in the UK. You will work within professional and collaborative teams all with the same aim of delivering world class solutions for our clients and the communities around us. On a personal level, you will learn and develop, and our goal is to aid your career progression and increase your job satisfaction.
