Stantec Senior Talent Management Consultant in Edmonton, Alberta

We have a great opportunity for an experienced senior professional in Talent Management to further develop and implement solid talent management strategies for career, performance, talent review, and succession planning across the organization.
As part of the Talent and Organizational Development team within Stantec’s HR Talent Services group, the role is responsible for developing and supporting enterprise-wide strategy, frameworks, and processes, leading project initiatives, and assisting in driving continuous improvement of ensuring that our talent management practices are supported through our integrated talent management system. Through exceptional service, collaboration, and partnering, the position provides consulting advice and support to HR and business leaders across the company on talent management strategies. The role reports to the Director, Global Talent and Organizational Development. This role is part of a global team that may require work outside of “normal” work hours.
Your Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Talent and Organizational Development team and HR Business Partners to evaluate and support the needs of the business by creating tools and resources to improve the assessment and management of talent
Lead planning and change management activities relevant to the implementation of talent management solutions, partnering with key stakeholder groups throughout
Implement technology-enabled solutions that collect, store, report, and analyze talent review and succession planning outcomes
Support the identification and creation of strong and diverse talent pipelines and talent pools
Leverage data and analytics across Stantec to identify high potentials, talent mix opportunities, and developmental needs and trends
Apply advanced practical knowledge to develop, support, and implement a high potentials development program for the organization
Engage in talent scenario planning and build a process to anticipate our diverse talent needs and the capability that responds quickly to changing business demands
Support reporting requirements for Stantec’s Board of Directors with Executive succession planning and development material
Contribute to business requirements definition, system testing, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide talent management data and analytics tools
Build an enterprise-wide performance management framework by leveraging human capital management technology tools
Create a framework for annual business operating unit talent, career, and performance check-ins, which may require facilitation or partnering with HR Business Partners
Facilitate employee individual career growth using Stantec’s global career framework, career pathing tools and supporting development opportunities
Maintain Stantec’s competency model and support competency-based management
Develop training and facilitation materials to be utilized by HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to support the execution of career, performance, talent reviews, and succession planning practices
Proactively stay up to date on trends and developments within the Talent Management industry, providing ideas and information to HR and Leadership regarding best practices, and in support of continuous improvement of operationalized practices, tools, and resources
Partner with Talent & Organizational Development colleagues to develop relevant learning and OD solutions to address complex needs where precedent may be limited.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and/ or equivalent combination of education and training, plus seven years of HR experience implementing talent management practices, solutions, and accompanying systems
Skills:

Mature knowledge of virtual collaboration tools and MS Office 365

Ability to simplify complex topics for internal audiences through concise messaging, strong information design and delivery, and other creative techniques while maintaining the integrity of the intended message.
Production of clear, concise, well-designed messaging in a variety of media, including print, electronic and visuals formats.

Independently manage multiple projects concurrently in a team-oriented environment, while demonstrating flexibility in managing competing and changing work priorities.
