Stantec Roads Asset Planner in Doha, Qatar
MWH, now part of Stantec, is currently seeking an Asset Engineer for our Qatar operation. The Asset Engineer will support the success of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, by ensuring:
• effective co-ordination of activities with key partners.
• assets Affairs assets are resilient, and that monitoring and response arrangements to service failures are effective.
•protection of Ashghal's reputation and the promise of service to customers.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
•Undertake a gap analysis on the tanker needs for FIFA sites, ensuring appropriate Investment needs are raised for the 2020 budget season relating to tanker reception facilities.
•Ensure that Drainage, Wastewater and Roads assets which serve games venues or are within the zones of influence are resilient and are working to their optimum operation.
•Implement appropriate monitoring on assets to highlight service risks or interruptions, leading up to and during the games.
•Develop robust incident response arrangements for service interruptions, in particular taking account of maintaining services and impact mitigation strategies.
•Ensure effective liaison and co-ordination of activities with key partners.
•Develop and Implement an effective internal / external communications strategy.
•Facilitating visits for AA staff to relevant cities who are / have hosted similar events.
•Develop a process that tracks all costs linked to the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
•Identify and manage the appropriate stakeholders.
•Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures in the workplace and comply with any new work instructions
Roads Asset Planner
•Bachelor degree in engineering/relevant subject
•MBA and/or secondary relevant degree would be advantage
•AMP/PMP certification would be advantage
•Minimum 8 years’ experience working in wastewater or environmental industry
•Experience of co-ordinating the operational delivery of supporting infrastructure (Drainage or roads) services for an international blue ribbon event.
•Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and Arabic would be advantage
