Stantec Lead Tunnel Design Engineer in Doha, Qatar
MWH, now a part of Stantec is currently seeking a Lead Tunnel Design Engineer for a site operation managing the New District of Doha Pumping Station and Outfall Project in Qatar.
The ideal candidate will be a strong well disciplined, task driven highly technical and experienced lead geotechnical tunnelling design specialist who has specialized primarily in investigation, routing, siting, and detailed design of large diameter pipelines and tunnels and marine outfalls including the selection and detailed design and specification of shaft and tunnel lining systems/liners for similar type large scale projects.
Extensive experience in the detailed design of large shafts and tunnel liners.
Extensive experience in the assessment/evaluation and selection of shaft sinking techniques/systems, tunnel lining systems and construction techniques, temporary works and permanent works design and the dewatering of shafts and systems for large shafts and tunnels and outfalls etc.
Latterly this candidate will also have been providing high level hands on detailed technical review and auditing and signoff of all aspects of the geotechnical and tunnel and outfall and shaft design for projects including large pipelines and tunnels and outfalls in a range of ground conditions – soft and hard – and a range of groundwater conditions including high groundwater and Hypobaric working conditions.

-Internationally recognized chartership
-10-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in the GCC.
