Stantec’s Management Consulting Group in the Middle East is looking for a result oriented and Highway Asset Management Specialist to work closely with our client in a transformation journey for their Highways Asset Management department.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Stantec Team in delivering transformational work as part of our Management Consulting Group in Qatar, in the development of our Client’s Asset Management Policy, Asset Management Strategy, and Asset Management Framework. The candidate for this position will be working from our client’s office and is a client-facing position to provide management consulting service to our client.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support and advise the client Management in the review, development and implementation of Highway Asset Management plans, policies, and frameworks in the State of Qatar.

• Develop Asset Management Plans for Assets within the Highway Right-of-Way in the State of Qatar.

• Develop Asset Management Policies, Frameworks, and Governance structures.

• Develop Asset life-cycle plans

• Develop Asset inspection, maintenance, and condition assessment methodologies, practices, and procedures for a variety of Assets within the Highway Right-of-Way.

• Identify, analyze, and study existing data sources, asset and risk management processes, procedures, and associated data sets.

• Develop and Integrate asset management systems and practices into organizational policies and frameworks.

• Produce presentations, circulars and other marketing material to promote achievements of the business.

• Present to external and internal stakeholders at all levels to accomplish the Client’s program goals.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, the following are essential experience areas to be demonstrated :

  1. Expertise in life-cycle management of transportation assets.

  2. Proficiency in asset management software and data analysis.

  3. Knowledge of risk management and condition assessment of highway assets.

  4. Familiarity with international best practices in asset management.

  5. Experience with regulatory compliance and standards.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, Asset Management, or a related field.

• Certification in ISO 55000:2014

• Member / certification by IAM

• Minimum of 10 years post graduate work experience is required.

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

• Time-management skills – ability to work under pressure with dynamic deadlines.

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment and build effective relationships with the Client.

• Exposure to analytical data and proficiency in working with MS Excel, MS Access, and overall understanding of database management.

• Capturing and amending process flow diagrams using Visio or similar.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills to develop dynamic stories and present analyses is required.

• Well-developed written communication skills in the preparation of presentations, technical reports, correspondence, and proposals are mandatory.

• Excellent oral and written English skills.

• Working knowledge of road asset management, asset life cycle planning and costing, operations and maintenance contracts is essential.

• Exposure to and experience with government Clients under client facing roles.
