Our Denver office is currently seeking a mid-level sustainability consultant and daylight modeler with a minimum of three years of experience to join our group. The candidate would be responsible for working on daylight simulations and other related sustainable design analysis. The preferred candidate will have strong analytical and modeling skills and will be a self-starter that enjoys working collaboratively alongside other creative minds.
Daylight analysis including modeling, evaluations and recommendations related to glare, contrast, light levels and controls
Implementation and understanding of industry daylight metrics including sDA, ASE, and glare
Implementation of ASHRAE and IECC code requirements relevant to daylight design and control
Understanding of energy efficiency strategies related to quality daylight design practices
Coordinate the green building certification process on projects across all studios (e.g. LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Envision). Knowledge of each rating system is less important than the ability to organize teams, documentation and track progress towards goals.
Prepare and review green building certification documents.
Life cycle cost analysis and cost-benefit analyses
Collaborate within a team setting as a team player to influence design and optimize project results
Present oral and written reports of findings and recommendations related to daylight and sustainability analysis
Coordinate with engineers and architectural design team
Engaged in all phases of projects from conceptual planning through post occupancy
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Green Building certifications in current standing. LEED AP with specialty is a minimum requirement.
Degree from an accredited university in Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent design-related experience
3+ years of post-graduation experience with daylight and/or energy modeling
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) with your collaboration with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
Proficient and interested in the application of green building and health and wellness standards such as LEED, WELL
Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
Proficient with LightStanza, AGI 32, Radiance or similar simulation software
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Familiarity with energy simulations.
