Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Workplace Strategist with 7-10 years of corporate design experience, with prior experience and interest in specializing in developing workplace strategies including space needs programming, workplace research and benchmarking, scenario development, and test-fit space planning.

Your Key Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include pre-design workplace strategy consulting and interior design projects from programming through CD/CA.

  • Project manage client project from scope definition to delivery including project schedules, work streams, activities, resource plans, final reports and managing client expectations to ensure timely project delivery

  • Oversee and participate in the development and presentation of materials and ensure the final product is succinct and delivers a powerful message.

  • Using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other applicable presentation tools, outline then review models for client presentations

  • Ensure presentations are clear, address client questions and goals

  • In partnership with Workplace Lead, develop and communicate project hypotheses and conclusions

  • Coordination of workplace design, change management and technology best practices and solutions with the client’s culture, business and people

  • Conceptualizes and develops interior design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget, and program.

  • Participates in, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, development of the program, facilitation of visioning, culture definition, planning strategy and pre-design workshops, and other pre-design efforts.

  • Synthesize the output gained from floor plans, occupancy data, technology assumptions, observations, surveys, interviews and focus groups into opportunities and recommendations for client presentation materials including people, place, technology recommendations and space metrics

  • Conduct workplace research and analysis in support of client projects and development of white papers and publications

  • Look for and make recommendations to apply new industry tools/technology to current projects

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to facilitate strategic conversations and influence clients

  • Project management experience including managing project implementation and project teams

  • Experience translating findings into client-specific design strategies that address strategic business goals

  • Ability to develop processes and methodologies to understand and analyze both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of human-centered design

  • Proven skills in information and presentation design

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, InDesign, rendering, and Revit. Additional 3D computer design programs a plus.

  • Outstanding verbal, written and graphic communication skills

  • Familiarity with furniture systems is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with good collaboration skills. - Excellent presentation abilities, including ability to present abstract ideas to the client.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task - Ability to guide or inform design strategies and design planning for workplace projects

  • Must be able to provide examples of your conceptual design process.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an CIDA accredited school of design. Graduate degree preferred.

7-10 years professional experience in strategic workplace and/or business planning.
