Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Junior Integrity Specialist to join our Integrity division in the Calgary office.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data analysis for NDE, ILI, and variety of Integrity inspection programs

  • Assist in report preparation for pipeline and terminal inspections / assessments and other field-based projects

  • Assist in data integration with reliance on spreadsheets and databases

  • Field evaluation/direct assessment of pipeline defects, such as corrosion and SCC

  • Assist with corrosion assessments

  • Utilize applicable technical knowledge to add value to projects

  • Strengthen technical knowledge through on-the-job, informal and formal training

  • Be familiar with and ensure appropriate reference material is utilized at all times

  • Be familiar with the applicable codes and legislation

  • Participate in monthly Integrity meetings

  • Liaise with other divisions

  • Compliance with Stantec’s EH&S program, with a focus on safety in the field

  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships

  • Strengthen project management knowledge

  • Potential field-related work such as participating in CP and ROW surveys, or facility inspections

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience

  • EIT status recognized by Professional Engineers is an asset

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills are essential

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and adaptability

  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word and mapping tools such as Google Earth

Education and Experience

University degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, or materials)
