Currently, we are seeking a Senior or Principal Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Consultant to join us. The location is flexible and could be in any of our nationwide network of offices. You will primarily support the delivery of our UK infrastructure programmes, primarily within the water sector but with the potential to work on Highways England, Network Rail, National Grid and other infrastructure programmes. We have strong demand from our clients to carry out SEA on plans, programmes and policies such as water resource management plans, drought management plans, drainage & wastewater management plans and local development plans. You will collaborate and work closely with our multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.

You will hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in one of the following areas:- Environmental Management, Environmental Assessment, Environmental Science or Environmental Planning that is accredited by the relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA or RTPI).
You will have experience of environmental assessment including strategic environmental assessment, and ideally also of environmental appraisals and EIAs / planning applications. Knowledge of the UK consenting regime for infrastructure projects and experience of working with utilities and / or water companies and working within a consulting environment will also be of benefit.
Preferably, you will have an understanding of town planning, sustainability, landscape, archaeology, ecology, contaminated land and hydrology.
