About the role

We are looking for a pro-active and motivated Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Brisbane team.

The successful applicant will have experience delivering sustainability on projects within the buildings sector, and be able to work independently and self-manage deadlines.

The role will enable the successful applicant to continue to develop in a professional and personal sense and to forge a career path in a successful, award-winning consultancy.

While the role will be focused on the property and buildings sector, there are opportunities to support the delivery of infrastructure sustainability as well as support broader carbon and climate change consulting work.

The ideal candidate:

•\tSelf-motivated and ability to deliver work with minimal supervision.

•\t5+ years’ experience in a sustainability or building science type role.

•\tClearly communicate sustainability recommendations and options to clients and project teams.

•\tExperience and understanding of Australian Standards, National Construction Code etc.

•\tProficient in building simulation software such as IESVE, TAS, or similar.

•\tWorking knowledge of industry standard rating schemes such as Green Star, NABERS, WELL and the like.

•\tExcellent written and oral communication skills.

•\tManage Clients service expectations and commitments as required.

•\tProvide support and mentoring to more junior staff members.

•\tA University degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related discipline.

The following skills and experience will be favourable, however are not essential:

•\tExisting industry network and skills in business development.

•\tUnderstanding of climate change resilience and adaptation methodologies.

•\tKnowledge of carbon mitigation policies and processes including Science Based Targets, Climate Active etc.

•\tUnderstanding of whole of life asset strategies and design.

•\tProject leadership and commercial awareness.

•\tWorking knowledge of Infrastructure Sustainability, ISCA or similar.
