About the role
Our established and growing Brisbane Civil team is looking for a Civil Designer with Intermediate (5-9yrs) with experience in the Buildings and Subdivision sectors across Health, Residential, Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Defence.
This would include project design, documentation and delivery from master planning to detailed design, and include the preparation and submission of Authority applications and construction phase administration assistance including bills of quantities, payment claim and as-constructed information reviews.
Successful applicants will have good technical design background in all aspects of civil design including bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network design, including clear knowledge of the Authority standards and processes within the South East QLD market.

Day to day tasks would involve:
•\tTechnical design and documentation
•\tManage Client service expectations and commitments for your projects
•\tAssistance with contract administration and Superintendence
•\tBe responsible for project designs dependent on experience and complexity
•\tContribute to the development of the section
•\tParticipate in meetings with clients and other consultants
•\tAssist other members of the project team
•\tBe accurate, diligent and professional
•\tAdhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures

To be successful for this role you'll need:
•\tA minimum of 5yrs experience in land development, building services, water and transport design within the South East QLD market
•\tExtensive experience in design and documentation platforms is essential including 12d (or Civil 3D) and AutoCAD
•\tDemonstrated stormwater network design experience using DRAINS and 12d pit and pipe design module (as minimums)
•\tA good understanding of Authority application processes
•\tGood communication and interpersonal skills are essential
•\tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
•\tAttention to detail
•\tAbility to use initiative and think outside the box
•\tPositive, can-do attitude
