Your Opportunity

As a Business Operations Manager for Project Management, you will use your understanding of program and project management to create, implement and maintain tools and processes to increase efficiency within the discipline for our Buildings sector Program Management / Owner's Representative team. This position is flexible on location to be based out of any Stantec office in the U.S. Preferred locations include Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; New York City, NY; Boston, MA; and Tampa, FL.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Implement tools and processes for Project Managers to increase efficiency across multiple geographic regions

  • Define, create and maintain internal processes

  • Generate, promote and mandate lean processes into day-to-day project management.

  • Recognize and eliminate waste to continuously improve project delivery

  • Create historical cost database derived from project management software. Mandate consistency so database is sortable and useful.

  • Apply data analytics to all responsibilities so real-time information can be highly visual and measurable.

  • Create & maintain project plans, schedules and deliverables

  • Develop an onboarding program for new hires

  • Promote training, education & growth

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong knowledge of Power Business Intelligence (Power BI)

  • Extensive knowledge of Lean Project Delivery

  • Ability to understand project management to create and implement processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple concurrent assignments

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be willing and able to take initiative

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and/or people

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Up to 40% travel is expected

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar

10 years of related experience

PMP preferred

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
