Your Duties

This role provides structural engineering support on project teams. A structural engineering intern is generally a student looking to gain experience in a professional setting during a non-academic semester. A structural engineering intern will perform general tasks which may include Revit design, calculations, and field work under the supervision of various structural engineering team members. Additional responsibilities to include:

  • Assist with the development of job specific discipline specifications.

  • Works with and coordinates with architectural, interior, and other engineering disciplines for coordination of the project.

  • Perform field work under direction of others

  • Perform calculations using company standard software

  • Must have an understanding of the design process, understand how buildings are constructed

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • High School Diploma is required (or equivalent)

  • Pursuance of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related degree is required

  • Experience with modeling/drafting software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) is required

  • 0 to 2 years of experience

  • Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively

  • Experience with general business and industry software (Microsoft Office suite. Newforma tools, etc.)

  • Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness
