We are currently seeking a Project Controls Lead to join the team in our Anchorage, Alaska office . The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of contract project controls deliverables and regular cost and schedule status reporting.

Your Duties

  • Provide guidance to project management on matters relating to project controls.

  • Implement project control processes and procedures established for project functions, including management of change, delegation of authority, cash flow projections.

  • Support development of PEP, CEP and PCP.

  • Liaising with Project Management Team and Client to establish an approved project control and reporting methodology.

  • Prepare and establish baseline and controls budgets and schedule in conjunction with Engineering Team Members.

  • Prepare and maintain schedules using Primavera software.

  • Incorporates KPIs and EVM to track schedule and cost in a mutually beneficial way

  • Liaising with clients to clarify cost and schedule related issues.

  • Define critical path.

  • Validate schedule slips.

  • Resource management.

  • Budget variances.

  • Cost trend.

  • Assume responsibility for preparation, quality, accuracy and timeliness of project reports.

  • Establish and apply Rules of Credit to establish progress, calculate earned value, cost and schedule performance indices and forecast.

  • Review, assess and analyze contractor progress and performance during engineering, procurement and construction through to the commissioning phase of the project as required.

  • Coordinate cost estimate reports for proposals and throughout project phases.

  • Perform risk analysis with project management.

  • Support department initiatives.

  • Participate in development of proposals.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate curriculum (Project Management, Finance, or Engineering).

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in performing cost management, scheduling and other project controls functions over engineering, procurement, and construction of large capital projects.

  • Excellent knowledge in project cost control fundamentals (AACE) with superior analytical skills and expertise in financial analysis, modeling and budgeting methodologies.

  • Experience in developing/enhancing and implementing cost standards.

  • Advanced MS Office skills, proficient in Excel.

  • Detailed knowledge of and proficiency with Primavera scheduling software, Oracle, and total installed cost estimatingAACE designation an asset.

  • Strong communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications and presentations.

  • Ability to multi-task, work on 20 or more projects or tasks at once, manage time, organize, and set priorities.

  • Business awareness and acumen: knowledge of project costs, time and resource availability.

  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make timely decisions.

  • Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills.
