Stantec is seeking to hire a Structural Designer to be based in Tampa, FL . Working within a dynamic team, you will perform design responsibilities on projects, produce and revise quality Revit Structure Models, AutoCAD 3D models and AutoCAD 2D drawings for power distribution projects.
Coordinate with Structural Engineers to assist in the development of complex structures
Producing aspects of structural design and drawings in AutoCAD, 3D Solids, ProSteel,Revit and MicroStation
Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project
Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams
Undertaking the detailed design and working drawings of steel, concrete, and site plans
Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team
Ensuring that the projects’ needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets
Participate in field activities to assess and document the current state of installed structural systems.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Technician or Technologist graduate in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college
Minimum of 5 years with structural related experience and understanding of steel and concrete design is an asset
Working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Revit Structure, adn MicroStation
Understanding of Navisworks Manage & Bentley ProStructures for AutoCAD is desirable
Possess strong communications skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere
Problem solving and decision making skills are essential
