Your Duties

Stantec is seeking to hire a Structural Designer to be based in Tampa, FL . Working within a dynamic team, you will perform design responsibilities on projects, produce and revise quality Revit Structure Models, AutoCAD 3D models and AutoCAD 2D drawings for power distribution projects.

Responsibilities/Duties include:

  • Coordinate with Structural Engineers to assist in the development of complex structures

  • Producing aspects of structural design and drawings in AutoCAD, 3D Solids, ProSteel,Revit and MicroStation

  • Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project

  • Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams

  • Undertaking the detailed design and working drawings of steel, concrete, and site plans

  • Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team

  • Ensuring that the projects’ needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets

  • Participate in field activities to assess and document the current state of installed structural systems.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Technician or Technologist graduate in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college

  • Minimum of 5 years with structural related experience and understanding of steel and concrete design is an asset

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Revit Structure, adn MicroStation

  • Understanding of Navisworks Manage & Bentley ProStructures for AutoCAD is desirable

  • Possess strong communications skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere

  • Problem solving and decision making skills are essential
