Your Duties

Stantec is currently seeking a Construction Administrator to our Water/Wastewater Group in our Columbus, OH location.

This is a project management position in Construction Services CA/CI. This individual will be part of a group that oversee projects in water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems, primarily for public municipalities.

The person should have good communication skills and be able to convey their message to those in the field and hold themselves and their direct reports accountable to that message. The canidate shall have the ability to work with others on group projects. Previous management experience a plus. This person will be responsible for managing field inspectors while providing construction management leadership on multi-disciplinary construction projects throughout Central Ohio verifying that schedules, standards and protocols are followed. Candidate must be able to answer RFIs, write field orders and negotiate changes orders. A good understanding of construction methods and materials is required. Training in ACI, nuclear density gauge use,and NASSCO criteria is a plus. Familiarity with local central Ohio municipal client market and local business development experience is preferred.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

The candidate is preferred to have a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 2-4 years of water/wastewater infrastructure construction management experience however, comparable management experience will be accepted.

Candidate shall have some type of documented management and training experience.

Preferred experience with the City of Columbus CMS specifications is a plus.

The Candidate must be able to read and interpret Engineering and Architectural Plans.

The Candidate must have a knowledge of trades, construction techniques, bidding, scheduling, budgeting.

Skills required: MS Office Suite and Primavera skills are desirable. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
